Is there any concensus on how to reference calls made to the CIC call centre? For instance, do they give out call codes or numbers for further reference?

A:

When an applicant contacts the call centre they are asked to provide information to verify who they are. Details of the call (date, time & content) are added to the applicants file. I am not aware of reference numbers being issued.
