E-CAS wording change
From Immipedia
In March 2008, Citizenship and Immigration Canada made some changes to the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) system. One of the changes was to the wording that appears when they grant Approval In Principle on an inland PR application.
It used to say:
- "We sent you a letter on [date] to [address] about approval in principle for you to become a Permanent Resident of Canada. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us."
It now says:
- "A decision has been made and you will be contacted."
Despite the change in wording, and initial confusion about what this meant, no actual changes had happened to immigration files, and this line does not mean a final decision has been made.
When a final decision has actually been made, the following line shows up in e-CAS:
- "We sent you a letter on [date] to [address] about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us."
